Appointment of Daniel Smith as an Alternate Director to Monde Nkosi

In accordance with paragraph 3.59 (a) of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, the board of directors
of ADvTECH (“Board”) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Daniel Smith (“Dan”) as an
alternate director to Mr Monde Nkosi, a non-executive director, with effect from 1 October 2022.

Dan has over 20 years’ experience in Investment Banking in South Africa and the United Kingdom and
industry experience across the financial services, property, industrials, consumer, hospitality and
construction sectors.

Dan currently holds the position as Investment Director at Value Capital Partners. He is the founder of
the DLS Advisors and has previously held senior positions in Investment Banking at Standard Bank
South Africa and Nomura International plc in London.

Dan is a Chartered Accountant (SA) and has recently completed the Oxford Fintech Programme from
the University of Oxford. He also holds a Diploma in Strategic Client Management from UCT Graduate
School of Business, completed a course in Advanced Valuation Techniques from the Gordon Institute
of Business Science, holds a Higher Diploma in Taxation Law, a Bachelor of Accounting (Honours) and
a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Witwatersrand.
