Changes in Senior Management at ARM Platinum and the Re-introduction of the ARM Technical Services Division

CHANGES IN SENIOR MANAGEMENT AT ARM PLATINUM AND THE RE-INTRODUCTION OF
THE ARM TECHNICAL SERVICES DIVISION

Notification is hereby given of the following:

1. Changes in senior management

(a)  The current Chief Executive of ARM Platinum, Mr Hamilton
     Luthando Mkatshana ("Thando Mkatshana"), will be replaced by Mr
     Johan Christian Jansen ("Johan Jansen") who will be the Acting
     Chief Executive of ARM Platinum until the permanent Chief
     Executive of ARM Platinum has been appointed. Johan Jansen has
     been with ARM Platinum for twelve years and the general managers
     of all of ARM's Platinum mines are currently reporting to him.

(b)  Thando Mkatshana will be appointed as the Chief Executive of ARM
     Technical Services. In this new role his responsibilities will
     include the provision of technical services to the ARM Group.

2. The re-introduction of the ARM Technical Services Division

The Company announces the re-introduction of the ARM Technical Services
Division, which will enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the ARM
Group.

The Executive Chairman of ARM, Dr Patrice Motsepe, said:

"I would like to thank Thando Mkatshana for the good work that he did
as the Chief Executive of ARM Platinum. I am confident that Thando and
Johan in their new responsibilities will contribute to the global
competitiveness of the Company and the creation of value for ARM's
shareholders and benefits for its stakeholders."
