The Repurchase was executed in accordance with the requirements of Section 48 of the Companies Act No. 71 of 2008, as amended. The Repurchase was implemented in accordance with and pursuant to the specific approval granted by Sanlam shareholders under special resolution number 3 adopted at its annual general meeting held on 5 June 2024. The Company has applied to the JSE Limited ("JSE") for the cancellation and delisting of the Treasury Shares as soon as practicably possible. The Treasury Shares represented 3,89% of the issued share capital of the Company immediately prior to their cancellation. Following the cancellation, the issued share capital of the Company will comprise of 2,117,153,949 ordinary shares of 1 cent each and the number of treasury shares is 29,647,350.
