Penny Gerber CA (SA) has been appointed as the Group's Head of Corporate Affairs, and with her extensive experience spanning over 20 years with the Group will provide the executive management team with valuable support as the Group advances its two-step capitalisation plan. Vaughan Pierce BA (LLB) (LLM) has served as Senior Legal Advisor for the Group for 13 years. During his tenure, he has performed a number of other key roles, including as Vice Chairperson of the Pick n Pay Medical Aid Scheme and as Trustee on the Ackerman Pick n Pay Foundation and Feed the Nation Foundation. Vaughan assumed the role of Executive for ESG for the Pick n Pay Group two years ago, and he will continue to oversee the integration of environmental, social and governance considerations across the Group's operations. Penny will work closely with Vaughan to ensure a seamless transition in this pivotal role.
