TRP121: NOTIFICATION OF ACQUISITION OF BENEFICIAL INTEREST IN SHARES


In compliance with section 122(3)(b) of the Companies Act, No 71 of 2008 (the "Companies Act"), regulation
121(2)(b) of the Companies Act Regulations 2011 and paragraph 3.83(b) of the JSE Listings Requirements,
shareholders are advised that Fortress has received notification from The Standard Bank Group ("Standard
Bank") of the acquisition by Standard Bank of Fortress B ordinary shares, such that Standard Bank now holds
9.25% of Fortress' B ordinary shares in issue.

As required in terms of section 122(3)(a) of the Companies Act, the Company has filed the required notice with
the Takeover Regulation Panel.

The board of directors of Fortress accepts responsibility that the information contained in this announcement
accurately reflects the information contained in the TRP121.1 form received by the Company from Standard Bank
and no information has been omitted which is likely to affect such accuracy.
