Trading Statement


In terms of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, companies are required to publish a trading statement as soon
as they are reasonably certain that the financial results for the current period will differ by at least 20% from the
prior comparative period.

Significant events affecting the Group's performance in the six months ended 30 June 2024 (the "current period")
included:

•   The conclusion of the Sea Harvest Group Limited ("Sea Harvest") acquisition of certain subsidiaries of
    Terrasan Group Limited, which resulted in Sea Harvest no longer being a subsidiary of Brimstone, as
    announced on SENS on 15 May 2024. This resulted in the recognition of a net loss on deemed disposal, which
    is included in earnings/(losses), but excluded from headline earnings.

•   An increase in the Group's share of profits of associates and joint ventures.

For the current period, Brimstone expects to report:

•   loss per share of between 119.5 cents and 123.1 cents, compared to earnings per share ("EPS") of 35.6 cents
    reported for the six months ended 30 June 2023 (the "prior comparative period"), representing a decrease
    in EPS for the current period; and

•   headline earnings per share ("HEPS") of between 70.1 cents and 73.5 cents, compared to HEPS of 34.2 cents
    reported for the prior comparative period, representing an increase in HEPS of between 105% and 115% for
    the current period.

Shareholders are advised that the financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been
reviewed or reported on by the Group's auditors.

Brimstone's results for the current period are expected to be published on SENS on or about 27 August 2024.
