For the year ended 31 December 2023 (the "current period"), Brimstone expects to report: • earnings per share ("EPS") of between 114.1 cents and 121.7 cents, compared to EPS of 76.6 cents reported for the year ended 31 December 2022 (the "comparative period"), representing an increase in EPS of between 49% and 59% for the current period; and • headline earnings per share ("HEPS") of between 69.5 cents and 73.7 cents, compared to HEPS of 69.0 cents reported for the comparative period, representing an increase in HEPS of between 1% and 7% for the current period. The increase in profit for the current period of the Group compared to the comparative period is mainly due to: • an increase in other investment gains; and • an increase in the Group's share of profits of associates and joint ventures.
