Appointment of Chairperson and further update on the acquisition of Socrati Footwear


1)     Appointment of Chairperson


In compliance with paragraph 3.59 of the JSE Listings Requirements, shareholders of
Buka are hereby advised that Ms Pumla Tladi, has been appointed as Chairperson of the
Board effective on 6 February 2024. Pumla is currently the Chairperson of the Social and
Ethics committee and a member of the Audit and Risk committee.


The Board wishes her well in her new position.


2)     Update on the acquisition of Socrati Footwear


Shareholders are referred to the SENS announcements dated 7 December 2023, 24
February 2023 and 15 July 2022 regarding the acquisition of Socrati Footwear (Pty) Ltd
from B&B Media (Pty) Ltd and Moltera Group (Pty) Ltd ('the Transaction'). The Transaction
is progressing and shareholders will be kept up to date with any progress.


The Company is currently investigating another opportunity within the retail industry and
shareholders will be updated in due course.
