Retail-experience hubs’ trading performance update for November and December 2024 ATTACQ LIMITED (Incorporated in the Republic of South Africa) (Registration number 1997/000543/06) JSE share code: ATT A2X share code: ATTJ JSE alpha code: ATTI ISIN: ZAE000177218 (Approved as a REIT by the JSE) ("Attacq" or the "group") RETAIL-EXPERIENCE HUBS' TRADING PERFORMANCE UPDATE FOR NOVEMBER AND DECEMBER 2024 Attacq's retail-experience hubs performed strongly during the festive season, driven by the Black Friday shopping period, generating over R3.1 billion in turnover during November and December 2024 versus R2.95 billion in turnover during the equivalent prior period. All references to the Attacq retail-experience hub portfolio in this announcement exclude Attacq's 25% interest in Brooklyn Mall. Retailers across our portfolio experienced a strong November 2024, with extended specials leading up to Black Friday driving significant activity. However, year-on-year growth in December 2024 was more moderate compared to 2023, largely due to calendar differences. December 2024 featured only four weekends, while December 2023 had five (with 30 November 2024 falling on a Saturday and 1 December 2024 on a Sunday). Trading activity in October and November 2024 may have benefited from the new two-pot retirement system, with the 'Homeware, Furniture, and Interior' category performing particularly well, achieving growth of 23.9% and 12.2%, respectively. In November 2024, the Apparel category also showed strong performance, growing by 11.8%. We are encouraged by the turnover growth in local brands within our portfolio, including Beauty on Tap, ERA by Zinhle, Galxboy, and Van Rensburg Foods. This reinforces our strategy of providing physical customer access to popular local retailers. Footcount The total footcount across Attacq's retail-experience hub portfolio increased by 4.5% year-on-year in November 2024 but declined slightly by 0.9% in December 2024. On Saturday, 14 December 2024, Mall of Africa recorded 96 582 shopper visits, compared to 105 324 visits on Black Friday Saturday, 30 November 2024.
