UNAUDITED CONDENSED CONSOLIDATED FINANCIAL RESULTS FOR THE SIX MONTHS ENDED 31 DECEMBER 2023

AOE is an investment holding company incorporated in South Africa and listed on the JSE 
Limited ("JSE") in the "apparel retailers" sector. The company has investments in fashion 
retail, property, media and broadcasting and water infrastructure. 

FINANCIAL HIGHLIGHTS 

- Revenue increased by 2.0% to R480.0 million (2022: R470.8million) 
- Gross profit margin % decreased to 46.5% (2022: 48.5%) 
- Operating profit decreased by 60.1% to R40.9 million (2022: R102.5 million) 
- Earnings per share decreased by 72.3% to 76.3 cents (2022: 275.9 cents) 
- Headline earnings per share decreased by 72.3% to 76.5 cents (2022: 275.9 cents) 
- Net asset value per share increased by 11.3% to R19.62 (2022: R17.62) 
- Ordinary dividend per share paid amounted to nil cents (2022: nil cents)
