                                  Director/PDMR shareholding

Lonmin Plc (the “Company”) was today advised pursuant to DTR 3.1.2 R by Roger Phillimore, a
director and chairman of the board, that on 4 March 2014 he sold 63,700 ordinary shares of $1 each
in the Company at a price of 298.5 pence per share in the London market. Simultaneously his wife
purchased 70,000 shares in the Company at a price of 298.5 pence per share in the London
market. The Company has today received a notification from Mrs Phillimore, pursuant to DTR 3.1.2
R, of her ownership of these shares.

Mr Phillimore’s beneficial interest in the Company’s ordinary shares of $1 each has therefore
increased from 63,700 to 70,000 shares.
