APPOINTMENT OF COMPANY SECRETARY

Shareholders of the Company are referred to the announcement released on SENS on 6 September 2022
wherein they were advised of the resignation of the Company Secretary, Mr Damien Terblanche, with effect
from 30 September 2022.

In accordance with paragraph 3.59(a) of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, the board of directors of
the Company (“the Board”) wishes to advise shareholders that Mr Cornell Kannemeyer (“Cornell”) has been
appointed as AEEI’s Company Secretary with immediate effect.

Cornell is an Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa and holds degrees in both arts and law.
Cornell has extensive experience in commercial law and is a valuable addition to the company.

The Board wishes to welcome Cornell and looks forward to his contribution to the Company.
