Norbert joined the Altron group in 1996 as the chief executive officer of Willard Batteries which expanded over five years to become the Powertech Battery Group, comprising Willard Batteries, Dynamic Batteries, Sabat Batteries and Battery Technologies. In March 2001 he was appointed the chief executive officer of Powertech, a position which he has held to date. An announcement appointing Mr Claussen`s successor as chief executive officer of Powertech will be made to shareholders in due course. The board takes this opportunity of thanking Mr Claussen for his valuable contribution made towards the affairs of the Altron group over the past 16 years.
