RETIREMENT OF EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, RESIGNATION OF A DEBT OFFICER AND CONFIRMATION OF
THE APPOINTMENT OF A NEW DEBT OFFICER

In accordance with paragraphs 6.39 and 6.79 of the JSE Limited ("JSE") Debt Listings Requirements,
noteholders are hereby advised that DBSA has appointed Ms. Zodwa Mbele as the new Bank's Debt
Officer with effect from 1 August 2024. The appointment follows Mr. Ernest's Dietrich's retirement as
the Debt Officer of the Bank, with effect from 31 July 2024 due to Mr. Ernest Dietrich reaching
retirement age , who currently holds this position.

Ms. Mbele, the current chief financial officer of the Bank, is a Chartered Accountant CA(SA) and holds
a Bachelor of Accounting Science Honours from the University of South Africa. Additionally, she has
certifications in International Treasury Management (UK), the Advanced Management Program
(Harvard Business School), the Executive Development Program (Stellenbosch Business School), and
the Management Advanced Program (Wits Business School). Previous positions held in the DBSA
include Group Executive: Transacting Division, General Manager of Finance, Head of Financial
Management, and Investment Officer.

Positions prior to re-joining DBSA, she served as Executive for Project Finance and Treasury at the
Trans-Caledon Tunnel Authority (TCTA) and briefly as acting Chief Risk Officer. She served as the Chief
Financial Officer of Total Utilities Management Services Pty Ltd and CFO and Executive Director of
Alexkor SOC Limited. She also serves as a Board Committee member of Vodacom Insurance Companies
and chairs an Investment Committee of Stanlib Infrastructure Fund.
