CHANGES TO THE BOARD AND BOARD COMMITTEES

In compliance with paragraph 3.59 of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, shareholders of Metair
are hereby advised of the following changes to the board of directors of Metair (“Board”), the
Nominations Committee and the Investment Committee, with immediate effect:

    -   Mr S. Douwenga, the interim chief executive officer (“CEO”) and executive director of the
        Company, has been appointed as the permanent CEO of Metair;
    -   Mr A. Jogia, the interim chief financial officer (“CFO”) and interim executive director of the
        Company, has been appointed as the permanent CFO and executive director of Metair as well
        as a member of the Investment Committee, in place of Mr S. Douwenga who has stepped down
        as a member of this committee; and
    -   Ms N.L. Mkhondo, an independent non-executive director of the Company, has been appointed
        as a member of the Nominations Committee.

The Board wishes to express its sincere appreciation to Mr Douwenga and Mr Jogia for their continued
commitment and invaluable contribution to the Company. Their appointments to the role of CEO and
CFO respectively will allow for a seamless leadership transition and the Board looks forward to
continuing to work with them in their new roles.
