Holders of the listed SBEN40 Equity Index Linked Notes ("the
Notes") which are redeeming on Friday, 24 January 2025 are informed
that the level of the index was determined and calculated on
Friday, 17 January 2025 as 13,778.706.


All the SBEN40 Notes issued by The Standard Bank of South Africa
Limited in the notional amount of ZAR,1 000 000 000.00 will be
redeemed and will be de-listed by the JSE Limited effective from
Monday, 27 January 2025. The redemption of the SBEN40 Notes is
because the SBEN40 Notes mature on Friday, 24 January 2025 and
following the redemption, the SBEN40 Notes will be de-listed on
Monday, 27 January 2025. The pay date (as such term is defined in
the Listings Requirements) is Friday, 24 January 2025. All the
Notes ("instruments") will be withdrawn from the listing and
following the de-listing of these Notes there will be no SBEN40
Notes ("instruments") remaining as listed instruments.
