On 8 August 2024, the Board announced that Mr Chris Schutte, Chief Executive Officer of Astral, will be retiring at the next Annual General Meeting on 30 January 2025. The Board stated that a replacement process was being initiated to determine Mr Schutte's successor. Following the completion of a robust replacement process by the Nomination Committee, the Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Gary Arnold as Astral's new Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 February 2025. Mr Arnold is currently serving as the Group's Chief Operating Officer, as well as an Executive Director since 2012, and has worked alongside Mr Schutte for many years. Mr Arnold has been an integral part of Astral for the past 28 years. He has extensive experience and an in-depth understanding of our integrated business model and has been integral in executing the Group's strategy.
